Handbell Quartet: D5-D6, mallets
Composed by Andrew Duncan
Sacred – Secular

“Bells of Joy” is an original mallet composition for beginning quartet (each player has only two bells and does not have to share or change bells). It can also be rung without using mallets – of course, you might also want to slow the tempo down to accommodate the repeated notes! Bells used are D5-D6.

I’m not sure this is letting me leave all 5 stars, but this definitely gets 5 stars! I was looking for a fun, easy quartet and this hit the spot! It made all of us smile the first time we played it through. The scale runs will pose a good challenge for younger ringers. Overall this is a well put together, enjoyable piece of music. One of the best easy quartets I’ve ever played.
