Composer Highlight: Martin Staub

Martin Staub is a retired instrumental music teacher who lives in Long Neck, DE. He received music degrees in performance and education from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh (1966), then taught music for 37 years, mostly in Montgomery County, MD. He has been a Lutheran musician since 4th grade and has served as Lutheran choir director, handbell director, organist and Director of Music nearly all his life. He composes music for choir and handbells as well as instrumental solos. Martin is a member of ASCAP and has written over 50 compositions, mostly sacred. He still performs on organ, piano, trumpet and euphonium and is a clinician for vocal choirs and handbell choirs.
